Sokoloff/Garl (No.1) + Mahannah (No.2) · 36 holes · 2 courses · ~2,600 m
Club Campestre Guaymaral is the largest golf complex in the Bogotá area, with two full 18-hole courses operating under one club. Course No. 1 was originally designed by Boris Sokoloff in 1991 and redesigned by Ron Garl in 2012; Course No. 2, a Mahannah design, plays longer. Together the two layouts allow Guaymaral to host major events while still serving its membership — the club hosted the 2011 Colombian Open.

Course No. 1 (Sokoloff 1991 / Garl 2012 redesign)
The Sokoloff routing was modernized in 2012 by Ron Garl, who reworked the bunkering, contouring, and green complexes to bring the course up to current championship standards. The redesign retained the original routing’s use of the property’s natural water features while updating shaping for tournament conditioning.
Course No. 2 (Mahannah)
The Mahannah-designed second course plays longer than No. 1 and is the layout typically chosen when Guaymaral needs to push tournament length. Mahannah’s signature shows in the fairway contouring and the placement of greenside trouble.
How It Plays
At ~2,600 metres, Guaymaral plays at standard Sabana altitude — expect 10–15% additional carry. With water in play on multiple holes across both courses, position off the tee matters more than maximum distance. Greens are kept firm and quick in tournament prep.
Location & Access
Guaymaral sits on the Autopista Norte corridor, roughly 30 minutes from central Bogotá and ~45 minutes from El Dorado International Airport (BOG). The Autopista Norte location places it close to Country Club de Bogotá, Carmel, Club Militar, and the broader northern Sabana cluster.
The club is private. Visiting play is arranged through reciprocal arrangements, IAGTO-affiliated operators, or tournament events.
Practical Notes
Caddie is mandatory. The 36-hole format makes Guaymaral practical for a full-day visit where members or operators rotate guests across both courses.
