I’m Swiss, born and raised in Zurich. After 20 years in finance, I came to Colombia in 2015 and founded Pelecanus — the only IAGTO member tour operator in Colombia specializing in golf tourism, and the only one with managed access to virtually all private clubs in the country.
Bogotá’s golf scene is Colombia’s richest and most historic. The Sabana de Bogotá at 2,600 meters altitude hosts more than 20 courses, including designs by Robert Trent Jones Sr., Stanley Thompson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player. The thin highland air adds 15–20% to your carry distance, making every round a unique strategic challenge.
Most courses here are private clubs with no commercial department and no English on the phone. I built direct relationships with every club, caddie master, and pro shop over eight years. When you book with us, you get access that no other operator can provide.
